Our men's clubs will be competing under the umbrella of National Collegiate Rugby (NCR), while our women's clubs will compete within American Collegiate Rugby Association (ACRA). Schedules have been sent to all teams and will be published here shortly. Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions related to collegiate athletics, New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference (NEWCRC) is moving forward under the expectation that the Spring 2021 Sevens Series and 2021 Conference 7's Championship will be delayed indefinitely. This is an extension of the previously announced suspension of conference operations from the Fall 2020 season.
If significant policy change occurs across our conference membership in regards to schools approving return to play, NEWCRC will revisit the suspension of conference activities this spring. To reiterate our conference administration's stance; Player and Coach health and safety is first and foremost in our mind, and we also recognize that there is a lot of uncertainty in the future. We believe there will be a time when all members can safely return to playing rugby, and remain committed to supporting and growing collegiate rugby when that time comes. In the meantime, we hope that all of our rugby community will stay safe and healthy. Dave Meyer Competition Director, NEWCRC Due to current COVID-19 conditions and school athletic cancellations, the New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference (NEWCRC) Board has voted to suspend conference operations for the Fall 2020 season. This includes team registrations, competition support and administrative functions.
