Disciplinary CommitteeThe Disciplinary Committee (DC) is responsible for reviewing and administering disciplinary action within the New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference. The NEWCRC Disciplinary Committee reviews all referee send-offs, referee sin bins, and
written complaints from the community at large regarding the behavior, on or off the field, of NEWCRC Clubs and their members. |
Red Cards and other misconduct will be reviewed within 4 days of the match or no longer than 2 days after notice is given to the DC. Players who are being reviewed may submit a statement to the DC for consideration (this statement must be submitted within 24 hours of being notified of the red card or misconduct). If a red card is issued, there is an automatic 1 week/1 match suspension while the DC considers the case.
A written decision and sanction (if applicable) will be made by the DC and notification made by emailing team’s conference email account and posting on the disciplinary reports.
Everyone has the right to appeal a decision made by the DC. All appeals must be made within 72 hours of the original notification or posting on the conference website. Appeals should be submitted using the online form. Please note that there is no guarantee that an Appeal will result in an overturned decision. If new evidence indicates intent to harm, or a lack of remorse by the sanctioned player, it is possible that the original decision will be upheld and that further sanction may be imposed.
All decisions of the DC may be submitted a single time for appeal to the USAR DC.
